China Daily reported that the country’s National Office Against Pornographic and Illegal Publications said today that the national campaign will last from mid-July to the end of November and will target vendors selling videos, books and magazines as well as various forms of pornographic or vulgar online content.
Last March officials shuttered 225 microblog accounts and punished 154 website operators for distributing obscene content. As it’s done in the past, officials are providing whistle-blowing methods for the public and are offering “rewards” to porn snitches.
In it’s last attempt, more then 2,000 Chinese participated in the snitch program in order to get a cash reward.
First they eat cats, now this. Do those people know no shame?!?
